Using this site

ElieCom wants this site to be usable by everyone, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or need larger or higher-contrast text. We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What this site provides

  • Keyboard navigation - every link, button and form field is reachable with the Tab key, with a visible focus outline, and a "Skip to main content" link on the first Tab press.
  • Labelled form fields - the contact form's fields carry real labels, so a screen reader announces what each one is for. The result of sending a message is announced too.
  • Readable text - body text measures at least 15:1 against its background, well above the 4.5:1 the guidelines ask for.
  • Accessibility options panel - the round button in the lower-left corner of every page lets you increase text size, switch to a high-contrast or dyslexia-friendly view, underline all links, and turn off animations. Your choices are remembered on this device.
  • Alternative text on every image.

How we know

In September 2026 we tested this site against the WCAG 2.1 A and AA rules using axe-core, an automated accessibility testing engine, and fixed everything it found. That included contact form fields that had no labels, a missing "skip to main content" link, a missing main landmark, a link that led nowhere, and button colours that did not have enough contrast. The pages now report no violations against those rules.

Two things we want to be straight about. Automated testing catches many problems but not all of them - judgement calls like whether alternative text is actually useful cannot be checked by a machine. And this site has not been audited by an independent third party. So we can tell you what we tested and what it found; we are not claiming a certificate nobody issued.
